Students in Intermediate Ceramics will build on concepts and skills acquired in Beginning Ceramics and demonstrate an intermediate skill level and individual style. Students will expand upon the hand-building techniques, such as pinch, coil, and slab learned in Beginning Ceramics, and continue to develop more technical skill on the potter’s wheel. This class emphasizes creating both sculptural and functional works with clay, while also including art criticism and art history.
